Pravaah
The PRAVAAH sculpture is a dedication to the eduring beliefs, resilience and culture of the people of Kutch. Its outward manifestation is inspired by the Varloh or Hasuli – a traditional silver neckpiece worn commonly by the women of Kutch. The Smritivan Earthquake Memorial Museum is built atop the “Bhujio Dungar” translating as the Hill of the Bhujang Dev, the Serpent God. The sculpture is also inspired alongside by the legend of the Bhujang Nag which has deep rooted connections with the traditions of the region and its movement across the plane is evocative of the flow of time and thus the name – Pravaah.
